Simon’s Angels is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to helping pediatric transplant patients and their families through the whole process from beginning to end.
Our purpose is to reduce financial stress, enabling families to direct their time and energy toward assisting their child’s recovery and reestablishing a normal routine while maintaining bedside presence.
Why Simon’s Angels was Founded
He needed several organs donated to him in order to sustain life. Tragically, complications from his illnesses (Hirshsprung’s Disease and Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome) took him from this world, August 26, 2005.
In his absence we keep his memory alive by raising money to help children and families in similar circumstances as Simon. Our wish is to give pediatric transplant recipients and families a glimmer of hope in desperate times. It is during these times that families need to be together, and we have made that possible for many families.
Our desire is to continue this important work to help those who need it most. Help us help them, your support is appreciated by our foundation and the families we help.
Tackles for Simon’s Angels
Simon’s Angels and Maverick Baranowski, Linebacker for the Minnesota Gophers, are teaming up this Football season to support pediatric transplant patients.
Join us in cheering on Port Orange native, and University of Minnesota Linebacker, Maverick Baranowski, as he takes on the “Tackles for Simon’s Angels” challenge!
For every tackle Maverick makes this season, he’s raising funds to support pediatric transplant patients and their families through Simon’s Angels. YOU can help him reach his goal of supporting Simon’s Angels by pledging a donation for every tackle he makes this season.
How Your Pledge Helps:
Whether you pledge a flat fee or $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, or $3.00 per tackle, every contribution counts toward helping children and families in need.

Diamonds, Denim, & Dice
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Simon’s Angels will be hosting our 21st Annual fundraising event, Diamonds, Denim & Dice.
Each ticket includes: admission to the event, $500 in poker chips to get you started, chef inspired food, drinks, photo booth, opportunities to win gift baskets, or bid on silent auction and live auction items and more!
